My Life In Music

The legendary tenor, widely regarded as one of the finest singers ever produced by Wales, talks about a career which for decades placed him at the very summit of the musical world. As an opera singer he was in demand at the world's foremost venues, a household name in Vienna, Salzburg, Covent Garden and at The Metropolitan Opera, New York. At the same time however he also continued to excel at the more intimate art of Lieder singing, making numerous recordings of Welsh and English songs, amongst others, which have become true classics of the genre. Some of these, along with recordings of arias from opera and oratorio, will illustrate this fascinating talk.
