Since his awesome Llandeilo debut in the 2004 festival Llyr Williams has gone on to fulfil even the most extravagant predictions of the world's leading music critics. In those eventful six years he has successfully toured the United States with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, made his BBC Proms debut at the Royal Albert Hall , his recital debuts at New York's Carnegie Hall and  the Lucerne Festival and his first appearance at Amsterdam's Concertgebouw hall.. In the middle of all  this he was given a quite unprecedented tribute by the BBC when he was chosen to give a series of four concerts to mark the opening of its new concert venue, the Hoddinott Hall, in Cardiff's Wales Millennium Centre. He has now embarked on a major, and eagerly-awaited,  project,  performing  the complete  cycle of Beethoven's Piano Sonatas and his programme for  Llandeilo will include the three Op.31 sonatas (in G major, D minor and E flat major respectively, as well as the sonata Op.28 in D major (the "Pastoral").
