Homage to Capability Brown
To mark the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great English landscape designer, who visited Llandeilo in the 18th century and is associated with the construction of the gardens at Newton House the Festival, in association with the National Trust, has arranged the following events at Dinefwr Park.
1.00pm A guided walk around the Brown Trail in Dinefwr Park. 3.00pm An illustrated pre-concert talk on the man whose name has become synonymous with the creation of some of Britain’s most famous gardens.
There will be free admission for the above if you are attending the 5:00pm concert.

Music to mark the 300th anniversary of the renowned landscape artist and designer, who created the landscape around Newton House in Llandeilo, and the 300th anniversary of whose birth falls this year. The programme will include a fascinating selection of works inspired by the natural world, set alongside trios by Franz Joseph Haydn and Johann Hummel, who were contemporaries of Capability Brown.
