The warm relationship between the Festival, choral maestro John S Davies and distinguished recitalist, Huw Tregelles Williams, over the past two decades has led to some memorable Festival concerts and it seems particularly appropriate to be able to welcome them back for the final concert in this, the 100th anniversary of the year in which Sir Charles Villiers Stanford died. The choir will perform two anthems by the much-loved Irish composer, works by several leading Welsh composers and Handel’s mighty Coronation Anthem, ‘Zadok the Priest’.
